Good Vibes

This past weekend I attended Friday and Sunday of Gathering of the Vibes at Seaside Park in Bridgeport. Overall, the festival was a hit. Top artists of the weekend included George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic, Keller Williams, Buddy Guy and that young Norwegian kid that rocks the blues, Moe., Deep Banana Blackout, and headliner Crosby Stills and Nash.

The two artists that stood out for me we're Deep Banana Blackout and Crosby Stills and Nash. Having never heard either live I was blown away. DBB absolutely killed(in a good way) their set playing every song as if it was their last. I was about 10 people back from the rock-ade and could practically reach out and touch them. Of all the bands I saw, they "wow'd" me the most. Dancing was a must.

Crosby, Stills and Nash have been a longtime favorite of mine and seeing them live was quite the treat. I had front row, right for them, with Graham Nash right in front of me. Talk about a unique trio with a killer audience connection. Not only did they play great classic music, they also had the best audience connection I've ever seen. (I guess all those years playing have really paid off!) I felt like Crosby was making eye contact with me every time he looked in my direction, it was pretty cool.

Vibes was excellent and now i have homework to finish up.

Until next time.
