Once again, it has been a while since I posted a blog.  The last few weeks have been pretty busy.  I'm wearing several hats for a band by the name of Dick Garrison & The Business.  I'm currently managing the band as well as engineering there new album for a July release. check them out at www.dickgarrison.biz.

On another note, i'd like to plug a project I'm working on and 'The Business.'

procrastination.

4.28.2009 at 1:17 PM
Once again, its that time of the year when I find myself procrastinating.  But honestly, who really wants to do a 10 page analysis paper on a four and a half minute Atonal piece?  The problem at hand is that i'm running out of ways to entertain myself.(well honestly, I'm not- this is procrastinating.)  So, help keep me entertained and send me a track to listen to (soundcloud button down on the right).  I need some new tunes!

Some music for the mind.

Its been a while since my last post, so I thought i'd share a little of what I'm listening to.

Lately I've been really into 'The Bad Plus,' an innovative Jazz Fusion trio out of NYC. They have a very clean, tight, and versatile sound that really draws listeners in. They released their first album called Fresh Sound in 2001 and have several more out.  There most recent album is For All I Care, and features Wendy Lewis on vocals.  For All I Care has a collection of classic covers from Lithium to Comfortably Numb.  I highly recommend it.

They happen to be bloggers too.  check out www.thebadplus.com for their blog, full bio and other good stuff!

You can find For All I Care here in the iTunes store.

Aqualung
Tony Lee Thomas
Hendrix cover band at Hole in the wall
japanese jazz combo
Citizen Cope
Alana's band

Marketing
A&R 3.0

Current reaction,
